Another person with autism has gone missing. Description: Keith Kennedy, 25, is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt and blue jeans. "He might not answer to his name." (The quotes are mine. KS)

Contact: Anyone with information about Kennedy should call 715-349-2128.

Helping out: Anyone interested in joining the search can call 715-488-2690.

Bruce and Linda Kennedy tried to take a short break for water and food Tuesday afternoon, but their emotions again overcame them, and they soon rejoined the search for their 25-year-old autistic son.

"It's been hell on earth," Linda Kennedy said of the two-day search for the Roseville couple's oldest son.

Keith T. Kennedy has been missing since Sunday night when he walked away from a northwest Wisconsin camp for mentally challenged adults.

The need to find him grows by the hour.

HERE's an update from late yesterday:

As the search of the Wisconsin woods for his autistic son continued Wednesday, Roseville's Bruce Kennedy held out hope — and onto a regret.

Hundreds of volunteers showed up to help search for the 25-year-old Keith T. Kennedy, last seen Sunday at a camp for those with disabilities near Grantsburg. As they and family members scoured the countryside, Kennedy was wishing he had gotten a global positioning system device for his son.

on my knees for this family and the safe recovery of their son

Please, if you have a wanderer, PLEASE take a moment to check out www.projectlifesaver.org

If your county does not yet offer this program, please encourage them to do so.

They have an average rescue time of less than 30 minutes, and a 100% recovery rate.

We have enough to worry about with our children. This should not be one of them.

I pray that Keith is found safely.

I didn't think I could get my heart broken anymore.. but whenever I hear of a situation like this, what's left of my heart shatters, once again, in a million pieces....

See, I have a 'wanderer' (he used to be a runner, but TG THAT stopped). And although Salamander is highly verbal, he does NOT answer when he goes on a 'walk about'. In his mind, he's perfectly safe doing what he's doing, he does NOT understand why wandering off and then not answering when he is called is a problem (and I've gone over and over and over and over this with him). Nor does he understand that his perception of being 'perfectly safe' has no bearing in today's reality.

Time for a GPS system indeed. And maybe some sort of alarm system too (if he ever finds himself, when slipping away from me in an unguarded moment, in a situation that warrants it).

My heart goes out to Keith's family.. and I pray that Keith will be found soon...

I'm praying for him and his family. For all of our children and all of us.

"Joy of Autism"? Yeah, right.
