FAINTING AFTER VAX IS NORMAL. RIGHT?
SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG! Where's the distress over children suddenly fainting after vaccination?
May 1, 2008 -- The CDC and FDA are getting more reports of people age 5 and older -- mostly teenage girls -- who faint soon after vaccination.
The CDC's advice: Health care providers should observe patients for 15 minutes after vaccination.

Interesting that this article came out concurrently with the article on the number of measles cases in the US this year.
Statistically speaking, most likely more teenagers will have a syncopal episode following a vaccine as compared to the total number of measles cases in the country this year.
"Most of the fainters were teenage girls. The CDC added three new vaccines for adolescents during 2005 and 2006: the meningococcal conjugate vaccine Menactra, the tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis vaccine (Adacel or Boostrix), and the HPV vaccine Gardasil for teenage girls. More vaccinations may have meant more opportunities to faint after vaccination."
I'm so glad that we've decided not to vaccinate my child, as we're giving her zero opportunities to faint after vaccination.

Thanks for the post. More info to take to my teenage daughter's next doctor appointment where they'll want to stick her for meningitis, HPV, DPT booster and God knows what else. I've got quite a little file going here.
I'd have to receive a head injury myself (as in a major gaping hole in my head) before I would ever consider giving permission for one of my children to receive another toxic vaccination.
I can just imagine what bull they tell the parents of the kids that faint and crack their skulls on the floor... Has absolutely nothing to do with what is actually in the vaccine..just a case of nerves or something. Puhleeze.
And where did they get the 15 minute observation guideline... out of Gerberding's butt??
