BILL CLINTON IN JB HANDLEY COUNTRY
Sounds like Bill Clinton was talking to JB Handley while stumping for his wife in the Pacific Northwest. Click HERE.
The point is that Bill Clinton is in Oregon and uttered the word autism. Nothing more. Certainly nothing related to Bill Clinton using the term "born with..." which to him may have little difference from "diagnosed with" in terms of his knowledge of autism.
President Bill Clinton on KTVZ in Central Oregon: You do not want to bring your children into the world where we go on with the number of children who are born with autism tripling every 20 years, and nobody knows why," he said.
I didn't know or believe that Mr. Handley's position is that children are born with autism.
And just at a time when regressive autism has become a totally accepted collocation in English.

BORN WITH IT????? Doesn't know what causes it??!! Why doen't he ask his wife - she's the one who started the "epidemic". Hillary - the MOTHER of all autism.

There goes Slick Willie, opening his mouth and saying nothing.

One has to wonder why he said "born with autism" and not "diagnosed with autism---regardless it puts the issue out there.
Autism is a growing epidemic and officials can't tell us why it's happening.

"....and nobody knows why," he said."
Very clever man, he did not say what he knew, and what he thought, and what his wife was going to do about it, or even the reason why she thought it was going up. Only that it was going up and nobody knew why?

Pamela, you took the words right out of my mouth. As a matter of fact, I'll believe it when I see it with all of the candidates. Promises have been made, and broken (or ignored). Why should we believe anything they say? They say what needs to be said to get the vote of the majority of the people. 1 in 150/90/80/fill in the latest number... that's a hell of a lot of votes, IMO. You'd be an idiot to not talk about it - and talk is all they will probably do. Sorry to be negative. I just don't think the majority of politicians are truly concerned with our troubles, only our votes.

While it is always good to hear politicians acknowledge the distressing rate of autism, I find Bill Clinton's comments here nothing more than pandering.
His statement about autism is in the context of Hillary's promise of Universal Health Care. More government intrusion is not the answer...as a matteer of fact it is just what has gotten us into this mess.
And let's not forget it was the Clinton Administration who not only brought us Monsanto GMOs but silenced anyone who tried to appose MOnsanto. If you haven't seen it, watch "The World Accordning to Monsanto" at The Adventures in Autism Blog.
