THE CONUNDRUM OF AUTISM
Last year, the Institute of Medicine convened a workshop on the role environmental risks may play in autism. In contrast to the IOM's flawed 2004 report exonerating vaccines, this event may come to be seen as a watershed -- the moment when mainstream science faced up to the strong evidence that something besides genes is putting a whole generation at risk.
Remember, "environmental risk" just means something coming from the outside-in to trigger autism in susceptible kids. And that leaves the door wide open for everything from live viruses in vaccines to mercury pollution from coal-fired power plants.
Read this comprehensive report on the IOM conference (HERE) and you'll know as much as anybody about where the science stands -- and where it needs to go.
Dr. Kathleen Stratton in a January 12th, 2001 closed-door IOM meeting: "The point of no return, the line we will not cross in public policy is pull the vaccine, change the schedule. We could say it is time to revisit this, but we would never recommend that level. Even recommending research is recommendations for policy. We wouldn't say compensate, we wouldn't say pull the vaccine, we wouldn't say stop the program."
Since 2001, the IOM's lack of honesty, integrity and acts of premeditated bias have been etched in stone. Follow up Coach Stratton's defensive line scheme with the U.S. Senate's colloquy for the 2006 Combating Autism Act and you will see precisely the same stick drew each line of no crossing. Not one penny of $875 million dollars will be spent on Thimerosal and vaccine connected to cases of Autism.
They've invaded our nation in the same spirit as pagan marauders. They have our babies in their wretched, poisonous grasp and crush anyone willing to oppose their pagan rituals and pagan beliefs. They pity no one and answer to no one.

A segment of Dr. Raub's (Science Advisor to Secretary Leavitt) opening remarks at the Workshop:
"Although the workshop is not intended to reprise the analysis of the epidemiological evidence related to vaccine safety, the Planning Committee recognized that vaccine constituents, especially organic chemicals used as preservatives or adjuvants, obviously qualify as environmental agents that warrant attention. **In other words, our research agenda should include studies of any and all environmental agents that plausibly might contribute to causing or exacerbating autism -- irrespective of the medium of exposure."**
In regards to this statement:
In contrast to the IOM's flawed 2004 report exonerating vaccines, this event may come to be seen as a watershed -- the moment when mainstream science faced up to the strong evidence that something besides genes is putting a whole generation at risk.
"Casting a cloud" over THAT 2004 Report was the whole impetus for my personal efforts on this project! IF this is seen as a major turning point in regards to the science then the 2 year "push" to get it done will have been worth every second!!!
