    SRI,

Yes. I don't have the package insert any longer, but it did say something to the effect that you should avoid using turmeric with Enhansa.

    SRI

    DOES TURMERIC INTERFERE ENHANSA

Wow Enhansa! We are 3 weeks into the lowest dosage. We saw regression about a week and a half in. It was very disheartening and hard not to stop the supplementation - but we pushed through. This week he is engaging us more - he even asked me to play! He is playing with his grandmother too. We are very pleased and plan to increase the dosage per instruction after another few days of stabilizing.
He had some tummy aches and lots of dark circles under his eyes (and still does), but we've been giving epsom salt baths, B12 shots and our regular regimen of vitamins and omega 3 oil. It seems to be improving.
We are also 6 months gluten free now! I think inflammation reduction is really helping him. I am so grateful to have learned of this product.

Enhansa works great for our son. I would encourage everyone to try it. I hope that as Silsby sells more and more enhansa their production costs will come down and that savings will be passed on to us. We purchase several items from Silsby and they have been a pleasure to deal with-unlike so many companies these days.

Take note: The powder is for mixing. The capsules are NOT for mixing. We use the tiny white scoop and only fill it 1/4 full to start. We built up slowly. My three kids react differently to Enhansa and require different dosing. KIM

In addition to the powder, it is sold in 150mg and 600mg capsules. If you are taking this for the first time (as an adult) you MAY want to start with the 150mg capsules. I say that b/c you MAY also consider the powder and starting ALOT lower dosage. It is very strong. I would never start a child on the spectrum or with any other issues at 150 mg even if they could swallow a capsule. Both my children started at 35mg (the small blue scoop) and I had to cut back to 1/2 a scoop. My ASD child acquire complex speech including those hard to get "W" questions-answering and asking. My NT daughter with gut and asthma problems...I've seen her belly go flat, no complaining of stomach pain, ear wax is gone - it was unbelievable, and asthma under control.
    Love it.

Thanks Carolyn, I appreciate your time to answer this for me on Thanksgivings. I was thinking about putting it a couple of stockings this year, including my mother and my three nephews.
Hope you have a good Thanksgiving.

Benedetta, I mix the powder in lemonade in a medicine syringe. The jar of powder lasts a long time, so it probably isn't that expensive if you work out the cost by day. If you have a non pill taker you have to get the powder because the capsules aren't supposed to be opened.

    rileysmom

We started Riley on Enhansa about a month and a half ago. I was telling my husband "It's working" just today. Riley is a slow responder but we are starting to see the benefits of Enhansa now. My son (has been non verbal for years)says words now in proper response...I asked him today if his older brother was his best friend...He said, NA! Not no yet but pretty darn close. Yesterday, I got him out of the tub, we were sitting on the couch and I said...bbrrrrr and shook my head. He mimiced me immediately. Shook his head too.
Today, he grabbed daddy's hand and took him to the bathroom door and said "bath".
Riley has NEVER been this connected before. He goes through days where I'm not sure he's even with us BUT since we started Enhansa...we haven't had any of those days for over a month now. Adding the Enhansa to his regular supps has made a HUGE difference!!!

    Carolyn M for Benedetta

    Benedetta -

Enhansa comes in a 36gram container. (I think that they may have a smaller size container as well, but it has been a long time since I ordered anything other than the 36gram size so I don't know for sure.) It is a powder, and comes with 2 scoops - a 75mg scoop (white) and a 300mg scoop (blue). It does not dissolve well in water. You can mix it into food such as applesauce (or something similar that the person taking it likes to eat - and is allowed on whatever diet that person is on). They will send a dosage guideline with your first order or you can look on their website (leesilsby.com/enhansa.php). The people who work at Lee Silsby are very helpful and are very good at answering questions if you telephone them. I hope that this answers at least some of your questions.

    Benedetta

Julie I would have ordered it from them but it does not tell me on their web site how much is in their bottles?

I guess it comes in a powder with a scoop, but is there a gallon of the stuff or a quart or or just a cup, or what?

Then if it is in a powder and not a pill how do you take it? Just spoon it in and sip some water. None of this information is available that I can find.

Enhansa is in queue. We will be starting it sometime around the end of January. I have yet to hear anything truly negative about it, but have heard countless reports of progress.

The one thing I DID hear that was initially negative was a mom saying it did nothing, after only doing the initial dosage. However once she got up to 600mg, her reaction was "wow".

    Julie Swenson

Here too! Without it, Xander is a stimmy, non-talking mess. Love the stuff!

    julie

Another vote for Enhansa! More words, less stimming and his ears & sinuses have cleared up. My husband & I are taking it too. Expensive but worth it, we didn't see the same effects with another cumin supplement.
