"Dr. Pissed" is our commenter of the week, on the Desiree Jennings Viral Video post and the winner of our Dr. Demento award. The award is not a T-shirt, but perhaps we could get our logo onto a product from Massengill for him? Sounds like someone is a little too attached to his prescription pad.

He said: "Jesus, you people are insane. I am a neurologist, sub-specializing in movement disorders such as dystonia. I can tell you with absolute certainty that this woman's symptoms are nothing like a true neurological disorder, and are exactly lie those of hundreds of neurotic (crazy) patients I see every year. Furthermore you idiots, she is now magically "cured" (it's a real pain in the ass to fake those ridiculous bizarre symptoms for too long) which simply does not happen in true cases of dystonia. Finally, the gross prostituion of her case to the press and to "causes" like yours will only serve to fuel myriads of whackjobs with newfound psychogenic symptoms, crowding out genuinely sick patients from our already overtaxed healthcare system. I hope you and all of your progeny die from otherwise easily preventable viral diseases.

Why is Dr. Pissed pissed? That a woman with an actual affliction after the 3rd flu shot in 3 consecutive years suddenly found herself with neurological symptoms called "dystonia" that were "cured" with chelation (surprise surprise, amazing what that mercury can do!!)? I would have thought a real doctor would have been happy for her.

Just because you haven't been taught about the dangers of mercury in medical school (I wonder why) and you don't know that mercury can harm people neurologically because you weren't taught that in medical school (I wonder why), and don't know that people can recover from chelation which you weren't taught in medical school (and again, I wonder why) makes me wonder whether you are fit to be called doctors in the first place.

Times are changing and its obvious your curriculum is outdated. Better get to speed on that speedy fast or soon enough you won't have ANY patients at all, because all of them are going to go to doctors who can actually make them "real" well, not fake well with band-aid drugs!!

Hmmm . . . interesting argument - almost Orwellian. Despite statements by the medical community, vaccines clearly are not safe for every child (VAERS anyone?). And in sufficient quantities, and combinations - the cumulative effect of which has not been studied - they may be even more unsafe for a larger population of children than previously believed.

If only vax fanaticists felt an iota of the shame that they try to inflict on people who - generally - have only their children's interests at heart (unlike the pharma mega-wealth who have every reason to continue developing new vaccines and ramming them down parents' throats).

I've got news for you - it is not my child's (or any other child's) job to protect you, or me. If you're so worried about herd immunity then why not mandate vaccines for ADULTS? You know there is very little chance of that happening so the remaining option is to coerce them on to small, helpless children, including infants with extremely immature immune systems (remember all those breastfeeding lectures?).

You're right (I am no expert) and I sincerely apologize. Thanks for taking the time to send the info and the links.
Believe me when I say that I know vaccine damage is real (our son is severely damaged) but I just couldn't ignore this funny feeling that something was quite right here- and this "Mommy instinct" I have to rely on quite often (and led me to reject allopathic medicine in general).
But in this case I will conceded and say I was wrong and my judgment was off. Plus, what she did by getting tons of people to question vaccine safety is wonderful!!!

Dear Dr. Pissed,

First of all, Doctor, need I remind you it was docs at Johns Hopkins that diagnosed her with dystonia so why aren't you calling them "idiots" or questioning their professional judgement? Why are you lashing out at autism parents?

Sounds like your really pissed about all the media attention this story has rec'd, the fact that it's gone viral so to speak and the you can't control that. Whether it's dystonia or not, I don't see how she could fake this condition and unless you examined her how would you know?

I think your fear/paranoia about her story fueling myriads of whackjobs to fake symptoms speaks volumes about your priorities. I have yet to see this happen. If you are a doctor, I would expect more compassion for the patient and less rage.

Why is it when this woman gets better or our kids recover, they are frauds? The pill pusher doctors are the frauds, they are not helping our kids, just whacking them out on drugs. My son has been recovered for two years and I'm sick of the people that think that "he just grew out of it" or "we just stopped spoiling him." He used to be on four psychiatric meds and is on none now.

I've seen comments that horrible at other sites, believe me. I saw one at allnurses a few years back saying that he hoped that children of parents who don't vaccinate will catch the vaccine-preventable diseases and hopefully die from them so that the parents' stupid genes don't carry on. Wow, that's real nice. All I could do was look at my youngest child (he's the only one who has had no shots whatsoever) and think to myself wow, this asshole is basically hoping my baby will die because he is half me. What a prick.

The medical community needs to ask itself why we hate them so much. Then go look in the mirror.

3,did lab test etc.
