VACCINES: IT'S YOUR CHILD, YOUR CHOICE
Compiled By Generation Rescue, June 2008
Background
* In the 1980s, children received 10 vaccines by the age of 5. Today, they receive 36.
* Vaccines have never been tested in combination, meaning that adverse events that may happen from receiving too many vaccines at once are unknown.
* CBS News recently reported the U.S. government has paid more than 1,300 brain injury claims in vaccine court since 1988.
* In March 2008, a federal court ruled that vaccines caused autism in an 8 year old child, the first of more than 5,000 pending cases.
Know Your Rights
* You can choose how your child receives vaccines --you do not have to follow the Center’s For Disease Control’s schedule. It is a recommended schedule, not a mandatory schedule.
* In every state except West Virginia and Mississippi, you can obtain a waiver for vaccinations based on philosophical reasons, religious reasons, or both. See a map here and learn more at nvic.org.
Use Caution and Safety in Approaching Vaccinations
* Consider delaying vaccines until your child is 18-24 months old.
* Do not vaccinate if your child is taking antibiotics.
* Consider no more than one vaccine per doctor’s visit – never let a doctor “catch-up” vaccines.
* If you plan to get the MMR vaccine, ask your doctor to give it in three separate vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella.
* Consider giving high doses of Vitamin C (3,000-5,000 mg per day) on the day before, of, and after vaccination.
* With the measles vaccine (MMR), consider high doses of Vitamin A (5,000 IU or more) on the day before, of, and after vaccination.
* If your child experiences any developmental delays, stop vaccinating until you learn more.
* If your child has an adverse reaction to a vaccine, stop vaccinating until you learn more.
* Always ask to see the vaccine insert, and never accept a vaccine that uses the preservative Thimerosal (mercury). Note: most flu shots today still contain Thimerosal.
Consider an Alternative Vaccination Schedule for Your Child
Go to GENERATION RESCUE for details. Three potential schedules are included:
* Denmark’s current vaccine schedule.
* The vaccine schedule used for American children in the 1980s.
* A schedule designed by a surgeon from the University of Washington, Donald Miller, M.D.

I would like to know where I can find another schedule for the vaccines. I would like to wait on my daughter's vaccines(today was her 2month check up and I told the dr. I would rather wait until she is older)but I cant seem to find the schedule that is advised. Please help! Thanks so much!

"Case in point: my daughter was starting to speak at age 1. Then around 13-14 months, she was scheduled for four vaccinations in one doctor visit. Barely two weeks after that, I noticed that she was conspicuously-quiet. She did not utter a word for almost a year, and never really got back on track with her speech."
Mark this sounds is a clear vaccine reaction to me. Its not going to come in with a sign announcing its arrival. You simply make a correlation, like you have done. I also hope you have stopped vaccinating as subsequent vaccines will only make things worse.

Thanks for all the comments. I think there is only so much an individual can do (much like trying to figure out why our government continuously engages in anti-American foreign policy—no press and no outsider can know what goes on in the minds of decision-makers, so we are all reduced to speculation) without being a high-level official in the industry.
As with any medical procedure, pharmaceuticals carry a risk—for my friend who just had triple bypass surgery, some of the ‘risky’ drugs have been credited with keeping him alive. There is also a small percentage who’ve had adverse—even deadly reactions to the same drug. Certainly, vaccines are a calculated risk—but one that individuals and parents should be able to exercise the right to choose between. The proposal for forced vaccinations (which could lead to adult vaccinations after they get through convincing everyone to do it for the children—it’s a slippery slope) violates individual rights and parental rights. Those in favor, argue that societal rights trump individual rights, when you’re talking about an infectious disease.
Rationally-speaking, if a disease DOES exist, the motivation to innoculate may be drawn from rational motives. However, in a nation dominated by corporate control of government in the goal of seeking out absurd profits through a controlled market, the risk of this being bogusly called into action is considerable. Just like we have with the so-called “global warming” scare. Many industries stand to make a profit through enforced legislation which enables new industries to emerge fighting what could be no more than a ‘bogie man’.
I agree that correlation is not causation. Indeed, we could easily draw a correlation between a rise in breast cancer and a rise in milk production in cows in India. However, if the timing of two events is close, the correlation may merit further investigation.
Case in point: my daughter was starting to speak at age 1. Then around 13-14 months, she was scheduled for four vaccinations in one doctor visit. Barely two weeks after that, I noticed that she was conspicuously-quiet. She did not utter a word for almost a year, and never really got back on track with her speech. Now she is four, but I’d say her developmental level compares with ‘normal’ 2-1/2 year olds. Was it the vaccinations? Or was it a genetic time bomb that just coincided with the vaccinations? We may never know. She started pre-school a week ago, and the teacher has indicated that my little girl is like her autistic son and that she should be tested and maybe enrolled in a special program for developmental issues. Up to now, I’ve blamed her development on bad parenting, earning a low wage--necessitating multiple jobs, long commutes and both mom and dad working, which leaves little time for our daughter to socialize. It’s not conclusive, as she has yet to be evaluated by child development professionals, but based on how other children communicate, vs. our daughter’s solitary behavior, I sense that somethings’ not right, and it started back around the time of those four shots at 13 months of age.
Did vaccines really knock out diseases? Or was it advances in modern plumbing, clean drinking water and change of habits that did it? We may never know.
The way I see it, there are three sides to any conflict: those in favor, those against and reality—sort of like the ‘bird’s eye view’ of the situation as it really is. None of us are in a position to know the truth absolutely and completely, as we are not ghosts that can travel with god-like powers and evesdrop on every pharmaceutical operative’s conversations, nor read their thoughts.
Conspiracy theorists are good at making up ‘facts’ and providing ‘references’, but any logical application of mental energy to the problem almost always finds contradictions, leading to lies and fabricated declarations about whatever the particular matter is.
Truth be told, I think we live in a world motivated by corporate self-interest, controlled by government, such that the corporations have adapted to protecting themselves by learning to manipulate the government controls for their own interests. In other words, when denied laissez-faire capitalism, they learn the ropes of the mixed-economy and lower their ethics standards to that of their controlling masters—the myriad of laws—both state and federal--however incomprehensible—which govern their business. Successful adaptation may lead to less than ethical behavior, where profit can only be obtained through the government’s good graces, so getting in bed with government means making deals that carve out a market, created by legislative pen, rather than natural market needs, and so we have many environmental laws and possibly these vaccination laws being proposed.
I’m support rational research into finding genetic causes of any disease, but the moment someone bypasses market need with a law, a red alert goes off for me. The old addage “follow the money” often reveals motivations for these things.
That said, I don’t think there is anything really sinister going on, like a series of ‘baby steps’ toward a “Logan’s Run” type society where the ultimate solution to the Social Security crisis is killing the population via forced vaccinations/drugs designed to terminate life pre-retirement age. But it does have a scary sound to it, and I’ll bet 1% of the readers here may even believe such a conspiracy is in progress. I don’t—at least I hope not.
Re: http://www.ageofautism.com/2008/06/vaccine-injurie.html , I would like to see the original court documents from the real court that heard these cases, or the medical professionals’ reports. Anyone with a little medical background can make a list of symptoms and declare them to be caused by the various vaccines listed. I’m not saying the list is fabricated, but I am loathe to accept information I read on some web site as proven fact without considerable corroborating evidence from various unrelated sources.
And where are these CAT scans and MRIs that parents had done just prior to and right after vaccinations, thereby proving unequivocally, that the vaccination was to blame for the child’s brain damage? I see no logical reason why a normally healthy child would go in for an MRI, and I highly doubt that any parent would request an MRI ‘just for the heck of it’. It sounds too contrived to be reasonable and customary medical practice. Only a wealthy and powerful person could afford and influence medical staff to conduct such tests on their child before and after a vaccine. I know of no such celebrity or congressman or senator ordering such MRI or CAT scans for their healthy child. It just doesn’t add up.
Whether the problem of Autism is caused by vaccines or genetics, or environmental radiation, it is a fact that in today’s world of fiat currency, government-created crisises and diminishing standards of living, many parents cannot afford the time to do much research on their own. I should be in bed, getting enough sleep for my commute to work tomorrow, but instead, I am reading up on the disease and writing this post—if I fall asleep at the wheel tomorrow on the way to work and kill someone in a crash, it will be my fault for trying to make more time available to solve a problem against the reality that the human body needs a certain amount of sleep in order to perform properly. Indeed, with many parents working two jobs, that leaves little to no time for spending hundreds, if not thousands of hours sifting through colossal quantities of data—some of which may be false and a waste of time, and some which may contain true facts, but in the hands of one not educated in very specific medical fields, may be of little to no use, and may go unrecognized as useful at all.
We’re stuck in a dilemma! We don’t know if Pharma is doing all it can to improve life for individuals, or if it is engaging in destructive behavior (knowingly of as an unintended consequence of government controls) that could result in dangerous vaccines being administered. We simply lack the time and resources to infiltrate this industry to find what could possibly be.. nothing. Even if we did find some sinister plan at work, would our report to Congress fall on deaf ears?
I do think that nutrition is important, and certain suppliments may strengthen the body’s resistance to abusive chemistry and external environmental violation, but I have no conclusive proof that vitamin thereapy would work, though if I can afford it, I will certainly try it to the extent that I know I’ll be doing no harm to my child. I tend to doubt that what amounts to ‘massage therapy’ is going to do much for her.
We followed the course of required vaccinations for our child, realizing that as a ‘necessary evil’ required before she would be allowed to attend school. Since the law requires children to attend school, by indirect effect, the law ‘requires’ vaccination of school-age children.
Pediatricians, like everyone else, are working for a living. Many do the minimum—attend school, learn traditional allopathic medicine and then go about their practice. People tend to take the path of least resistance, and pediatricians are no exception. How many of them will stand against the establishment and question procedural guidelines that are instituted in legislative statute? Few, I reckon.
Chelation, if it were legal in the US (my studies go back to Dr. Raxlen and the procedure being outlawed state by state, such that it was only practiced in Sweden for a while in the late 1980s) MAY help at least remove the embedded toxins, but I can’t imagine it repairing neurological damage. I hope that I am wrong about this.
As for mercury in fillings, I myself have a mouthful of fillings and, coincidentally, I suffer from acute fatigue. So 25 years ago, I went to get blood tests for mercury. My tests showed no measureable traces of mercury in my bloodstream. My dentist, with whom I’ve debated the amalgam filling issues, quite effectively demonstrated that the fillings are inert and cannot leach out through the tooth enamel and into the bloodstream. He noted that he would be a rich man today just from pulling everyone’s fillings, if it could be proved to be the cause of illnesses.
With vaccines, and the new legislation, people will not be able to refuse them, if the Natural Solutions Foundation’s alert has any accuracy to it. Refuse a vaccine, get relocated by military force to one of hundreds of detention centers built by George Bush (paraphrasing the alert article). It sounds absurd, but given all the other rights I’ve personally seen stripped away in the past fifty years, it may not be an impossible scenario. We may not even have a choice, in the near future.

While everyone is discussing the increase in number of vaccines as a cause of autism, no one has suggested another obvious source: raising CO2 levels in our atmosphere. In 1983, 1 in 10000 children were diagnosed as autistic, not the rate is 1 in 250. At the same time, CO2 levels have also been increasing. Why hasn't anyone brought up this link before?!
Why? Because, like the vaccine data, its just a correlation, not proof of causation. Scientists could publish correlation after correlation, but that wouldn't mean they had discovered anything. Correlation does not equal causation. Until someone can show that vaccines cause, through a biological mechanism, developmental issues in the population, you just have a correlation.
Also, how does taking Vitamin C stop autism? Where was the study showing vitamin C prevented autism published? JAMA?
Vaccines are an amazing technological advance that has prevented many painful, early deaths of children. For vaccines to work fully, >90% of the population needs to be vaccinated. Please continue to vaccinate your children. It prevents suffering and death of children.
At the same time, help support real research into the genetic causes of autism. There are many great researchers out there trying to understand the causes of the disorder. Do not be fooled by snake-oil salesman and their vaccine answer: it is false hope.

"I would very much like to see factual scientific proof that these vaccines are causing the kinds of problems alledged."
Mark, we all would. There are many parents here who have been fighting to show the world the evidence that we have seen, the evidence of our children disappearing before our very eyes. The vaccine-thug community and mainstream medicine dismisses these claims, calling them anecdotal and hysterical. Many of them call us idiots. But here's the thing; when there is so much anecdotal evidence all saying the same thing, this needs to be investigated thoroughly instead of dismissed offhand. You bring up an very good point that these stories could be made up, but when these parents have CAT scans and MRIs of their children's brains that show either an encepalopathy or neurological damage right after a vaccination, then the evidence points to the culprit.
You bring up conspiracy theories. Yes, the idea that pHARMa, a huge and nearly infinitely rich conglomerate of corporations could be influencing the Government and the various medical agencies does seem a little far fetched. When you realize, though, just how far they have their claws sunk into the medical community and then realize that over 50% of all Americans are using their products, it doesn't seem so extreme. And then the vaccine-thugs claim that parents like me are in this grand conspiracy to try to eradicate vaccines and plunge the world into another Dark Age of disease. How ridiculous does that sound? There are very few parents on this site who deny the benefits of vaccines. We question the formulation and the schedule, and all of a sudden, we are wack-jobs who want to kill everyone off with disease. So, what's more realistic; An industry that either knowingly or unknowingly may have damaged children with their products and now is using their nearly limitless resources to cover it up, or a relatively small (yet growing) group of parents with limited resources trying to abolish vaccines so that deadly disease can return, essentially becoming the Brady Bunch of Terrorism?
Is there a possibility that vaccines aren't the culprit? Yes, there is definitely a possibility, but I doubt it. The vaccine-thugs even say that vaccines could cause an injury in a small subset of children, which is why Vaccine Court came into being. They just refuse to see that vaccine injury is far more common than they think.
Anyway, just wanted to give my input. Good luck to you Mark, and I hope your daughter is doing well.

Mark,
You have a daughter who is showing developmental problems, and you want some answers, right? You don't know who to believe?
Welcome to the club; it just keeps getting bigger.
Here's how I did it when I realized my son was having problems:
1. I bought every book and looked at every site I could find that had answers. I decided to believe the parents who were getting their kids better, and to disbelieve those who told me there was "little" I could do.
2. I threw out every book, every doctor, every web site that told me my kid's problems were "largely genetic."
I didn't know enough about vaccines (yet) to spend time worrying about whether or not they had caused, or contributed to, my child's problems. I had heard a few things about mercury in vaccines, but put them in the back of my mind.
I focused like a laser beam on getting my child to come out of his autistic, brain-damaged fog.
3. I found Karyn Seroussi's book: "Unraveling the Mystery of Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorder." We started the GFCF diet and saw changes within weeks. My son started to develop more normally, once again.
4. We used nutritional supplements, Greenspan therapy, RDI, cranio-sacrial therapy, sensory integration, more dietary changes, digestive enzymes, and more. My son is about 90% recovered.
5. I began to research why these things were working. I spent literally 300 hours researching before I felt confident that I knew what had happened to my son. It took a long time to believe some of it, but I was seeing it all with my own two eyes.
6. I networked with other *successful* parents, since I hoped to get my child better. Others here have done all of this and more, and their child is still sick. But many more of us have been lucky enough and smart enough and determined enough to find biomedical treatments that have helped our children to get better. Some are recovered, or nearly so.
And I do stress luck, because some of these kids are so sick that all the determination and smarts in the world have yet to put them back together again.
7. I learned that the problem was mercury, and then I learned that there's more to it than mercury. I researched for about another 100 hours (and counting).
8. I stopped asking questions, and started to share the answers I had found.
Some people have been helped by this tremendously, others not so much, some not at all, because I *still* don't know enough to help all the damaged kids out there. Nobody does.
But I'm in touch with people who know more than I do, and I try to keep learning.
9. It's *not* hard to know what to believe. Not when you're motivated, and I hope that you are, for your daughter's sake.
If you're here, start reading the archives. Go to Generation Rescue (www.generationrescue.org). Believe those who have been successful if that's where you want to go, too.
Best of luck to you and your family. I hope to see you here again.

"I would very much like to see factual scientific proof that these vaccines are causing the kinds of problems alledged."
Here's my proof that vaccines cause autism (its a backwards proof but it works for me) -
1. When kids do sequential homeopathy for vaccine injury, they lose the autism diagnosis and become neurotypical.
2. When kids chelate, they excrete mercury and become neurotypical.
Depending on your genetics, the damage is greater for some, and so they have to do more work on the child with different protocols to reach the stage where the above 2 therapies can work.
I don't need multi-million dollar studies to tell me a simple truth other parents' experience is telling me. I also do not trust the pediatrician who put my child in this mess in the first place. He did not do his homework, and for THAT I hold him liable.
The industry is driven by market demand, when enough people refuse to accept the vaccination schedule, they will have to change it. See what happened with dental amalgams, when enough people began to refuse them, they changed the product. Its an industry based on greed for profit, its not about your health or mine, unfortunately. I would treat its product like you would any other consumer product - hmmm, is this good for me or am I better off refusing this?
Right now they are trying very hard to create that artificial demand by shoving it down peoples' throats but it does not work that way. It backfires. Some 9,000 people showed up in Washington to protest just that. The numbers will only continue to grow. With or without Big Media I might add.

I would very much like to see factual scientific proof that these vaccines are causing the kinds of problems alledged. My pediatrician became defensive and assures us there is no mercury in any of the vaccines given to our daughter, from birth, who is now four. Because she seems to be developmentally-delayed, we are very concerned and need to know the facts, with real scientific proof, not just internet panic groups opinions.
Any of these stories could be made up. Yes, it could be argued that vaccines have banished disease. It also could be argued that hygene accomplished the same.
Circumstantial evidence can draw the conclusion that Big Pharma is financially-motivated to urge Congress to make vaccination compulsory. But it also reeks of conspiracy theory. Whom to believe? Without a careful series of scientific results showing the effects of vaccines on the brain (where are these results and where can we see them?) it is impossible to know who is telling the truth and who is fabricating a panic for some undisclosed purpose or gain.
