JENNY McCARTHY UNOFFICIAL TODAY SHOW TRANSCRIPT
Thank you to a diligent reader (and former court stenographer?) for this unofficial transcript from Jenny McCarthy's appearance in The Today Show.
Jenny McCarthy on the Today show, March 5th, around 10:30am EST.
(not official transcript)
First Jenny talks about her new show on the web In The Motherhood.
Reporter #1 (Natalie Morales): “Your son Evan is 5 yrs old and we were talking about what a breakthrough you’ve been able to make with him because he has autism. And I know you’ve been such an inspiration to so many women around the country you were telling us that you’ve become an advocate for finding cures.”
Jenny: “Absolutely. It didn’t just happen to Evan. It happened to thousands of kids- kids are getting better. And I’ve been speaking in front of moms across the country who are all shouting out the same thing- this is working! And it’s so heartbreaking to see the medical community not support something called diet and vitamins. And it pains us, city after city after city, I see this heartbreak on these moms’ faces going -autism isn’t covered by insurance. Things like diet and supplements are working. Then why not support it? These kids are getting better. AND I WILL NOT SHUT UP and not stop fighting about it.
Reporter #2 (Ann Curry) : “In fact, you speak to thousands, you say, women every week. You’ve become... You’re writing a book about this. This idea of being a warrior for your children.”
Jenny: “There’s so many mother warriors out there, the name of my next book in the fall. Traveling and seeing their strength in their faces and the magnitude of pain that’s going on across the country. I wish a member of the CDC, or the FDA or American Academy of Pediatrics could stand next to me on the front lines, and go with me across the country to see these women who have a voice that no ones listening to. And I say, you know what- they might have silenced our kids, but they are not going to silence the mothers.”
Reporter #2 (Ann Curry): “Well they certainly haven’t silenced you and your son is doing really well.”
Reporter #1 (Natalie Morales): “Good for you.”
Jenny: “Oh ya- we’re gunna...” (makes a hand gesture like she’s punching someone)
Reporter #1 (Natalie Morales): “You’re going to fight. You’re going to fight all the way”.
Jenny: “Ya”
Reporter #1 (Natalie Morales): “Well I know a lot of moms across the country are applauding your message today.”
Reporter #2 (Ann Curry): “Jenny McCarthy affecting our hearts and our funny bone.”
End of segment

I finally saw what Jenny had to say about autism and it's no different from how autism has been treated through aba programs and if she did the behavior treatment and changed his diet how does she know what caused his change tha's why no major source is knocking at her door because she has confounding variables in her claims and sadely the public just jumps on the bad wagon at whatever a celebrity says works

Jenny, will you please set an official date to organize a protest, at the White House, for a change in th US vaccinations?

When I first heard of Jenny's story, I kind of ignored it because I figured there was no way I would ever connect with a celebrity going through the struggles of autism. Most celebrities affected by disease start or support charities, but are not as involved as Jenny McCarthy. I applaud her for being a leader and for fighting the fight that many of us moms would never be able to. We are truly grateful for her voice and what she will accomplish for us. Go Jenny!

I love how to-the-point Jenny is. She has the voice and the personality that is just what we Warrior Moms and Dads need!
Thank you, Jenny!

Jenny, thank you so much for all of your hard work. Thank you for picking up the gloves and for being our voice. I'm hanging a picture of you in my son's room today! You are our heroine!

Jenny, you are an angel, Thanks for not shutting up.
In the motherhood is awesome! I love that you play the perfect mom, because we all know you've been in the trenches with us, feeling quite the opposite.

Jenny Thank You Thank You...
Just do not forget that there are many many dads fighting for their sons and Daughters as well... This is a post I put up this morning on ABC's Site (Reference the John McCain Comments last week):
Thank you for your well written direct response. Your hypothesis is equally as valid as mine. I do disagree that a parent who is up all night, having to change diapers of a 10 year old, and worry every minute he will open a door or break a window and run down the middle of the street should be the one to do the research to find answers to these questions.
We all agree AUTISM is a real issue today. We all agree given current diagnosis criteria that we are looking at 1 in 150
Why is there no HELP...
For Therapy
For Respite
For Supplements
From Insurance
From Government
From Autism Society of America
From Autism Speaks
From Doctors ( AAP )
I know of story after story where parents have deserted each other and their child. I know of stories where the mothers have killed their child.
Time to wake UP... The system is broke...The sky is falling
And it is almost communist state like that this story is not headline news...
It is a headline that Hillary changed her hair, Britney went to a happier place, and Paris went to another party..
But you place the job back on the parents to research this????????
If no conspiracy then we must have apathetic uncaring idiots!!!!

Oh, Jenny, bless your heart! Thank you again.
As I sit at my computer for the 6th year, in 26 degree Minnesota weather, I feel so grateful that you are putting yourself out there in the media. For all our kids, for the moms, the dads, the doctors... people happy to hear you share the message of hope in biomedical treatment.
And we need to push prevention. Testing for mitochondrial disorders so that subset of children don't get injured by their vaccines. Removal of Thimerosal from vaccines, because studies show ethylmercury can cause mitochondrial disorders.
Our world is one of paradoxes -- in which a product intended to improve health is having the opposite of its intended effect for far too many children. A world in which common sense is uncommon.
