WHY WE'LL WIN

Did it escape anybody’s attention that at the bottom of the full-page ad placed by Generation Rescue in the Tuesday, February 12, 2008 issue of USA Today that Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy were thanked for their generous support?

There comes a time in any successful campaign when a tipping point is reached.  I think that might have happened this past Tuesday.

Consider the people who’ve come over to the side of the angels in the past twelve months.

Last December Senators John McCain and Joe Lieberman wrote a joint letter to Senator Ted Kennedy about the slow pace of autism research.  After meeting with A-Champ representative these two independent voices wrote, “We have heard the concerns of many Americans that a number of environmental exposures, such as thimerosal, pesticides, metals, organic pollutants and other ambient factors may be linked to autism.  Our research efforts should support broad approaches to understanding the wide range of etiological factors in our environment that may be related to autism for both prevention and treatment purposes.”

Donald Trump gave an interview in which he said he thought the epidemic was caused by all of the new vaccines which have been added to the schedule and that he’s creating his own schedule.  Now, think what you want about Donald Trump, but nobody can deny he wants what’s best for himself.  Most of us would agree that includes a child without the neurological problem of autism, or if as in my case you’re really lucky, an extra helping of seizures.

There’s the Autism Omnibus Proceeding going on and from my talk with the lead attorney it’s pretty clear he expects to win.

Don Imus has been on our side for a pretty long time, so there’s another voice.  Oprah Winfrey seems to be on our side as well.  She created a surge for Obama.  Maybe she can do the same for the bio-medical community.

Then there’s that Autism Speaks group, founded because Christian Wright, grandson of former NBC chairman Bob Wright, became autistic.  However, after dropping millions of dollars, mother Katie Wright found that the best hope for her son was to be found in the bio-medical community.  This even provoked a front page story in the New York Times.  Katie is now known as one of our greatest advocates.

I even heard a rumor that the gals of The View were discussing the Generation Rescue ad before show-time on Tuesday.  Barbara Walters supposedly thought it was all a bunch of garbage, but the younger gals were thinking there might be something to all the smoke.

You win when you start racking up victories.

Let’s do a count of who’s in our corner now.

America’s funniest actor and America’s most trusted mom.

The likely Republican nominee for President and his good buddy, the former vice-presidential candidate for the Democrats

America’s most well-known business man is following our advice, not that of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  That’s his deal.

We’re probably going to win in the court built by the pharmaceutical companies.  Won’t that be a sweet victory?

Then there are the assorted media voices waiting to see which way the wind blows or waiting for the moment when the bookers of the major media will want the previously shunned to appear on their shows.

I don’t think we’ll have to wait long.

Before reading 'Louder than Words', I too would have laughed at Jenny McCarthy being labeled 'most trusted mom'...but hey, anyone who went the distance she did to help her son has my utmost respect. Imagine if she had listened to those first moronic doctors who told her her son had epilepsy. He would have probably ended up in a home. Now he has a shot at a normal life.

McCain also joined with Lieberman and other Democrats to reverse the vaccine liability protection (as well as other things) that was slipped into the Homeland Security Bill as a rider at the last minute. It was voted out the next session, in no small part because of both Lieberman and McCain. Bear in mind that it is almost unheard of to have something like this reversed.

Great Post Ken. Everyday Pharma and the CDC play russian roulette with the lives of babies,anyone with any sense knows this is a game they cannot win.
Whose baby will be the victim today and tomorrow? Perhaps it might be the relative or child of a famous politician,journalist,movie star,musician,or minister? These people were sitting on the sidelines unaware of the battle.Now they have been drafted to fight and they have been given the greatest motivation to fight that one could possibly have,the lives of their children.

This battle will be won - once and for all - in the court of public opinion. When enough parents refuse to inject their babies with poison, the vaccine program will suffer. That is when this madness will finally end. Change will come swiftly, if CDC and Pharma want to save the sacred cow. We're getting closer every day!

It occurs to me, albeit belatedly, that all of them – the CDC, the AAP, and the FDA – knew that it is the mercury in the vaccines that is causing the current autism spectrum disorder epidemic (refer to the Mark Blaxill series) as early as the mid 90s or thereabouts. That also were in the know that it wasn’t the mercury per se BUT what the mercury did to the body that was causing the current epidemic. THEN they pretended to withdraw the mercury but then did not mandate a recall so that it would stay on the shelves or doctors’ clinics for that long. THEN when those vaccines were diminishing then they ordered that pregnant women and infants get them (mercury laden flu shots). THEN when a hue and cry was raised over that, then they added it (the mercury laden flu shots) to the childhood schedule.

It seems like a fantastic plot fit for a Hollywood movie, BUT then they did not write the anti-climax in the script. Namely THIS – that they were triggering the same latent infections in the “healthy” population with good enough immune systems to willy-nilly TRANSMIT these dangerous and deadly infections to the population at large thereby contaminating THEM and THEIR PROGENY. Gee, what a shame. Wonder who’s having the last laugh, this wasn’t intended to be a comedy now was it?

Absoultely Kent - we will win! Although it has been slow coming, the tide is turning in our favor. Reality can no longer be denied. Too many babies are injured and sick.

Hey Kent,

A correction on Senator Lieberman: He’s been in our court for years and has done a lot for our community in that time – although it hasn’t always been evident.

The staff member we were working with told me (back in 2004) that when he debriefed Senator Lieberman on the issue, he made it a point to mention the “hot potato” nature of the issue and asked him if he still wanted to get involved.

The Senator’s answer: “I don’t care. They need my help.”

He is one of the major reasons why I decided to quit looking at candidates in terms of “party line” and instead decided I’d start voting for politicians based on their individual actions in regards to our issue.

In my opinion, when it comes to politicians, Joe Lieberman is one of the best.

We have decided to boycott our pediatric providers until the AAP reverses its policies on this issue. We pray that God will keep our child well in the mean time. If not, we will try to seek services from a family practitioner.

We are NOT encouraging anyone to do the same thing. We just feel this is the right choice for us to make.

We feel that pediatricians and pediatric providers should be concerned with the well being of our children and not the multi-Billion dollar profits from serious illnesses that are a direct result of mercury poisoning.

You are absolutely right Kent. You see, I *think* it isn't the flu virus that is deadly after all. It is these viruses that are coming up with the frequent vaccinations of kids (not ASD, because in ASD kids they are sitting below the surface since their immune systems are too weak to fight it) that are spreading and infecting all and sundry they come into contact with. It just seems as though its the flu because its winter and people are in close proximity in closed spaces. They just call it the flu because they don't know any better. The day they realize that they are triggering latent infections in people and these deadly virulent infections are being spread to all - irrespective of whether they are vaccinated or not - THEN and only then perhaps will they realize their folly and stop.
