From The Houston Chronicle, Warned of Disease Risks, Parents Control Kids Vaccines.

Pilar Uribe weighed the pros and cons of childhood vaccinations even before she was pregnant with her daughter, Gabriella. A friend's child had an allergic reaction to one of the routine shots given to children before age 2.

Uribe said she discovered many children had severe reactions to these traditionally required shots given to guard against such diseases as diphtheria, tetanus, rubella and pertussis.

So when Gabriella came along six years ago, Uribe joined a growing number of parents who opted not to have her child vaccinated.

Dr. Kimberly Smith, professor of pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, said she recognizes that parents have that choice, but said the fewer people who are immunized, the greater the risk that the infections can return as a public health issue.

"I say it is your choice and the state will let you opt out of getting your children inoculated, but I always want to make them understand the risk," Smith said.

I cried when I read the forms after my child was vaccinated. It wasn't until all the disclaimers were read that it overwhelmed me. I had no idea I had a choice between my child being vaccinated. In the search for health we are not always finding the right answers.

I am helping to promote awareness for Heal Sick Children a campaign for Texas Children's Hospital. They are building a Neurological Research Center, in an effort to find a cure for Fragile X, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Asperger's and more neurological issues. Please visit HealSickChildren.org

I hope there are parents and children out there that will finally have some answers through this effort by Texas Children's Hospital. I feel very encouraged by the progress between the medical community, the nutritionist and informed, active parents.

Hmm, its strange that its these very same infections we are having to treat my son of as we try and get him to get rid of his autism. Its also strange that these are all combination vaccine infections. Is there any doctor out there that might want to investigate this simple phenomenon, namely severe reactions and combination vaccines are the one and the same stuff.

This is completely untrue. In fact it is these other vaccinated kids with tougher immune systems that are bringing up their latent viral and bacterial infections and are passing these same infections to the population at large. Haven't we said that its the mercury in the flu shots that made our kids descend into autism (those that hung on beyond the original vaccine assault, that is). How come our kids got hit by these infections that they were unable to fight and these NT kids have *nothing* happen to them? Think about it. Is this in any way conceivable at all - that our kids get ASD, and *nothing* happens to NT kids from the same mercury laden flu shot? Are NT kids made out of machine parts? Last time I checked every human being out there was made of the same components - bones, blood, flesh, skin. What say doctor, you have an answer for that? Or is the mute button on?
