Doctors, including pediatricians, (are they still docs or have they been downgraded to pharmaceutical reps?) continue to push the flu vaccine, even though it has greater than a 60% failure rate this season. Read the full article HERE.
The flu vaccine is not now, and has never been, a sure bet against preventing flu. And yet now it's being given to children as young as 6 months of age, (not to mention the unborn) even though studies have shown an efficacy rate of 17% in children under two.
The flu vaccine is a money maker. It brings people into stores and pharmacies and doctor's offices. It fills the seats and encourages additional purchases at the retail center. Looks to me like it's also what's known as a "loss leader." The loss being your potential health.
ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- The flu season is getting worse, and U.S. health officials say it's partly because the flu vaccine doesn't protect against most of the spreading flu bugs.
The flu shot is a good match for only about 40 percent of this year's flu viruses, officials at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday.
The situation has even deteriorated since last week when the CDC said the vaccine was protective against roughly half the circulating strains. In good years, the vaccine can fend off 70 to 90 percent of flu bugs.
Infections from an unexpected strain have been booming, and now are the main agent behind most of the nation's lab-confirmed flu cases, said Dr. Joe Bresee, the CDC's chief of influenza epidemiology.

Another day, another phone call from a really sad and angry mom who just couldn't believe what has happened to her child.
He's three years old, and he has autism.
He was developing normally, until a couple of shots, including the mercury-filled flu vaccine, sent him over the edge. . .
This mom thought she was doing the right thing to get the flu shot while she was pregnant, and dismissed another pregnant friend's concerns about doing so. . .
She got additional flu shots for her son after he was born. . .
Now, he's sick with autism, and who's there to help her?
Not her pediatrician, who gets "red in the face" every time she even tries to talk to him about diet or supplements.
Not her family, who are all "skeptical" about how she's working to heal her son.
Not the CDC, where they can claim any number of flu deaths they like, and forget to mention that the flu shot is *so* ineffective, it can't even be shown to save lives at all.
Not the "specialists" who will diagnose her son "officially." Not the local Children's Hospital. Not anybody. Not anybody at all, except other moms and dads who have gone before her.
Some day, history *will* judge those who have perpetrated this, as history has judged those who have perpetrated slavery, genocide, and other crimes against humanity.
In the meantime, I guess we keep on picking up the pieces for each other.

I think it's important that you mention the failure rate is GREATER then 60%.
We know for certain that the failure rate is at least 60%, but what we don't know is how many people actually get any benefit whatsoever from receiving that one-of-three strains that is the "right" strain.
In other words, this year's flu vaccine might be 0% effective - we just don't know.

The poster "Mike" forgot to tell us that most of the kids in the ward WERE VACCINATED! Fat lot of good it did them. They get a double wammy, first they get the flu in spite of the fact they were vaccinated and then they get Alzheimer's later in life from the mercury and aluminum in the useless shot.
Nobody is defending "the flu" Mike, the article accurately points out that the vaccination for the flu provides a false sense of security that comes with a price tag of its own. Your trying to scare the wrong crowd. 99.9% of flu cases are a walk in the park compared to Autism and PDD. Vaccinating babies and pregnant women is criminal you dupe.

Kim -
You call it exactly as it is. The doctor's just don't give a shit about our kids. I was thinking about that in regard to the other post on the site - about it coming down to the parents as being responsible. Sometimes, when I'm at the end of my rope, I want to drop her off at her pediatrician's house for a few hours for some respite. He wouldn't have a clue what to do with her.

Hey, Mike. I have three girls with severe autism. You got a cup of sympathy for me too? I'd give anything for my girls to have something "treatable" by docs in a mainstream hospital and with a projected chance of recovery that's quite high (unless the child is already ill with another disease like cancer.) Really, I would. A touch and go few days or weeks looks damn good to me compared to a lifetime of care by workers paid $8.00 an hour.
No one wants sick kids. That includes those of us in the autism world who have VERY SICK KIDS and doctors like you who just plain don't give a shit about us or our kids.
I also run this site - don't hurry back, pal.

Mike,
Here's the important point you seemed to have missed: How many children have you personally seen DIE from the flu? Not get sick but actually DIE.
I'll bet those odds don't come CLOSE to 1 in 150!
When you start seeing numbers like that, then we can talk.
Until then, don't even try to compare a temporary illness to a lifelong disability!

Hi Mike, Thanks for your observation. I have to ask, however, have you been working in pediatric intensive care units since before the mid 1960s, when the number of vaccines started to increase? Also, have you participated in or are you aware of studies where never-vaccinated children were compared to vaccinated ones as to the incidence of severe influenza illness? I am eager to know what the results were, if you have any to offer.
Also, while of course I am grateful not to have had a child with a serious reaction to the flu, I am equally grateful not to have had my child die within hours of receiving a vaccination, as some, maybe many children have.

Currently working at a pediatric hospital with an intensive care unit full of children with influenza, I can guarantee that children have in the past and continue to be hospitalized due to the flu (influenza). Be thankful your child has never been brought to the edge of death because of it.

We were just on our way home from the city (New York) and passing through Queens to our nice quiet burb that has 50 children with Autism in our school district. There, in front of me, was a billboard which said, "Have Asthma? Then you NEED a Flu Shot". Under that it clearly showed the ad had been placed by the New York State Government. So, its not only the doctors pushing these things. I'm still shaking.

Last month there were some of us testifying at the capital testifying on the anti-thimerosal bill in my state. The Heath Department and local pediatric hospital staff showed up with a father who had lost a daughter to "the flu". He provided testimony that was highly unusual- he began by first crying, but about 5 seconds into the tears, he abruptly stopped and read a script that was completely emotionless. After testimony was heard, he was laughing and joking with the staff from the health department and pediatric spokesperson from the hospital, they were thanking each other, all seemed to be the best friends. It was unreal. The father neither verified if his daughter got a flu shot, nor did he respond to my question if he was paid to be there. I checked his story out though- his daughter did not die of "the flu" but rather a rare condition- myocarditis- which COULD POSSIBLY be caused by a number of reasons, one of which is complications from the flu. Of course the media was in full flu-scare swing- lots of quotes from those flu fearing docs at in the original story in 2007. While I am very sorry for any parent that loses a child for any reason, this father's story felt like he was a paid mouthpiece. The comraderie with the opposition after public testimony was very disturbing.

I just heard on a news program today that if an older person received their flu shot early in the season they should probably ask their doctors if it's a good idea to get another shot... you know, just to be safe!
Unbelievable...

In my opinion, the most insidious aspect of this pushing flu vaccine on infants is the alleged reason it is recommended, i.e., that many infants are being hospitalized from the flu. If that is true, and I question that fact, something has changed. Infants, in vast numbers if at all, didn't used to get seriously ill from the flu. If they are now getting this sick, why is that? I can only imagine, since no one is properly studying it.....

From the homeopath Luc Schepper -
http://drluc.blogspot.com/2007/12/water-in-ears_11.html
"The flu remedy for this year - Prevention: Take Arsenicum album 30C, put in 4 oz. of water two pellets, dissolve and give a tsp to everyone in family once a week."
Like we said, all you have to do is *ask.* Consider it a new way of doing medicine - Its only minimal cost for the remedy from any health food store. Benefits: There's no *crap* in it, its not painful, you don't have to leave the house to go to the doctor's, you may even detox some arsenic in the process :).
Its win-win all the way and the way nature intended.
